Rhys Samuel Washington (Playwright)

Rhys Samuel Washington is a New York-based writer, actor, and producer with a BFA in Writing for Film, Television, and Emerging Media from Ithaca College. His work has been seen at FOX Soul (Hope Deferred), East Village Basement (Happy New Year, Happy Birthday), HB Studio (The Dust of the World), and Playground NY (#Find_SIRSPARKLEPANTSIII). Upcoming projects include Apologize to Me Later (TheaterLab), Hope Deferred Season Two, and The Songbirds, a new folk musical with music and Lyrics by Logan Geddes. His play Lifetime Achievements and All The Shortcomings Thereafter was nominated for Best Short Play at the 2022 New York Theater Festival and the L.B. Williams Playwriting Contest at New Circle Theatre Company. Rhys is a proud alum of the inaugural Theatre Write Now cohort and has developed work with New Circle Theatre Company, HB Studio, Ithaca College, and Playground NY. @iamrhys__ and @true_blue_films_

Emma Cavage (Director)

Emma Cavage (she/her) is a Director based in New York City. She is the 11th Annual SDCF Charles Abbott Fellow, and the 2024/2025 Harold Prince-Kurt Weill Directing Fellow. Emma received her BFA in Theatre Arts from Boston University, where she served as a Teaching Apprentice for Movement and Ensemble. For her producing and audience engagement work, Emma has received a Boston Mayor’s Arts Funding Award for Dry Land, and a Lower Manhattan Cultural Council Grant for Spring Awakening. Assisting credits include: Chess (The Muny), Love Life (NYCC Encores!), Fiddler on the Roof (Paper Mill Playhouse), RENT (The Muny), Oliver! (New Repertory Theatre), A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder (Lyric Stage Company). Recent directing credits include: Spring Awakening (ART/NY Gural Theater), Bat Boy (Stagedoor Manor), Lizzie: The Musical (BU), Taking Over Your Life (Gallery Players), untitled middle school play (The Tank), and Dry Land (BU). Upcoming: The Jury Experience at Calderwood Pavillon with FeverUp! SDC Associate Member.

Logan Geddes (Magnus)

Logan Geddes (he/him) is a New York City-based actor and singer-songwriter, thrilled to be reprising the role of Magnus after the first iteration in 2024 (Theatre Write Now). Since graduating from Ithaca College with a BFA in Musical Theatre (c/o 2021), he has continued to develop his artistry in performance and songwriting. Recent screen and stage credits include the web series Hope Deferred and Pen & Piano: The Songs of Sara Bareilles & Sir Elton John (54 Below). In addition to working on his debut album and other independent music projects, Logan writes the music and lyrics for The Songbirds: A Folktale, drawing inspiration from traditional Appalachian folk music. As a songwriter, his work has been showcased at Don’t Tell Mama (NYC). @logan.geddes

Amanda Rose Gross (Anika)

Amanda Rose Gross (she/her) is beyond blessed to reunite with OTL after last year's Spring Awakening (Martha). Other credits include Alice Beane in Titanic the Musical (Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center), the Mistress in Evita (Gateway Playhouse), Sherry/Renata/Desi in Passing Strange (Vanguard Theatre Company), Zuzu in Dance Nation. Following YoungArts Week, she was named by BroadwayWorld as a 2018 Young Actor to Watch. 1/5 of @ThatMonthlyMoment. Delaney Stephens (Jessi)

Delaney Stephens is a NYC-based actor and singer with a BFA in Musical Theatre from Ithaca College. She recently performed as a lead soloist aboard AIDAdiva with AIDA Cruises sailing around the world, and appeared in Always... Patsy Cline at Priscilla Beach Theatre. Her on-screen credits include the indie film The Mental State (now streaming on Apple TV) and the series Hope Deferred on Fox Soul. This summer, you can catch her at 54 Below in A Cabaret to Die For. Elizah Knight is a multi-disciplinary actor/writer with a BFA in Musical Theatre from Ithaca College. Since graduation, Knight has performed all across the country but she adores being a part of the creation of new work in NYC most of all! Recent credits include Courtney with the Off-Broadway show Cross That River and Viola in Twelfth Night the Musical. She is currently signed with About Artists Agency. Laura New (Harriet/Mom)

Laura New is an Australian-born actor based in New York, working across film, television, and theatre. She recently worked on the feature film Downtown Owl, directed by Hamish Linklater and Lily Rabe, and guest-starred on Nickelodeon’s Aaron & Erin. Her screen credits include Yahoo’s Sin City Saints, ABC’s You Got This, and indie films such as Andromeda, Candy & Dan, and The Red Shoes (The Next Step) on Apple TV. On stage, she has performed Off-Broadway in Only Castles Burning and Dust of the World at HB Playwrights Theatre, and in a reading of The Last Days of Judas Iscariot with Atlantic Theater Company. She was recently selected by SAG-AFTRA to perform in the prestigious F. Murray Abraham Masterclass at the Robin Williams Center. She is currently in post-production on AMERICA, her directorial debut short film, which she also wrote reflecting her passion for layered, character-driven storytelling. @laurajaynenew

Grace Goble (she/her) is an interdisciplinary artist and self-proclaimed "fun girl to hang out with." She is OTL's Business Manager and Producer. She is thrilled to be bringing these two plays to life. Favorite acting credits include: Spring Awakening (ART/NY), Lizzie (BU), and horse girls (BU). Grace enjoys reading by candlelight, befriending every animal that crosses her path, holding other people’s babies, knitting, and learning to play new instruments. gracegoble.com

Becca Carter Freeman (Director)

Becca Carter Freeman (she/her) is an actor, writer, and intimacy coordinator raised in Seoul, Korea and is currently based in NYC. Writing: Where Do Peaches Grow? (Kennedy Center's National Undergraduate Playwriting Award, first place. David Mark Cohen Award, second place. National Playwrights Conference at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre, semi-finalist. Screencraft Stage Play, quarter-finalist) The Living Orchid: The Isabella Stewart Gardner Play (The Tank), Meet Me in Five (Brooklyn Art Haus/ O’Neill semi-finalist).  Her acting credits include Amina in Dance Nation (Southern Plains Productions), The Handmaid’s Tale (Anne Bogart) and she has intimacy coordinated for the Lin Manuel Miranda Fellowship, HBO, and The Wild Project. She is a current NYU MFA candidate at NYU for dramatic writing and holds a BFA in Theatre Arts from Boston University. She is an alumna of Interlochen Arts Academy, the Atlantic Acting School, and is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America, as well as, associated with Intimacy Directors and Coordinators.

McKayla Witt (Dramaturg)

McKayla Witt is a Vietnamese American writer and performer. She earned two degrees from Boston University in Theatre Arts and Political Science. Her plays The Corruption of Morgana Pendragon and Pride and Pride and Pride and were developed and produced under the guidance of Kirsten Greenidge and Kristin Leahey. Her film credits include Lily in Lord of the Line, Evan in Room 77, and Pep in Santa Girl (2019). She appeared in the LA premier of Oh, to be pure again, Boston Playwrights Theater’s world premier of Lorena, and Boston University's premier of The Corruption of Morgana Pendragon.

Cole Mathewson (Wallace)

Cole Mathewson (he/him) is thrilled to be a part of Untitled! Originally from Western MA. Favorite credits include: Funny: Not a Comedy, actually kinda tragic! at ART/NY, Spring Awakening at ART/NY, Nothings Plenty For Me at Theatre Row, Twelfth Night at The Globe’s Acting Program, & Flat Stanley at Playhouse on Park. Syracuse University BFA. Writer/Producer/Director of The Brokers Pilot. Cole is an avid sports fan in his free time, and hopes to inspire the New England Patriots receiver room with his performance in this play. Charli Bush (Trudi)

Charli Bush is ecstatic to be a part of this Outside the Lines Growing Work production! Originally from Pittsburgh PA, she attended Syracuse University graduating with a BFA in Musical Theater. Recently, she participated in the Bloom! 10-Minute Play Festival presented by Daisy Theatricals and was in Rep Book Roulette with ASHARP Theater Co. Outside of theater she loves beaded embroidery, shooting on her film camera, Survivor, and her friends and family. Known for her playful spirit and generous heart, Sarah brings joy to every project and looks forward to exploring new creative paths through writing and performance.

Mandy Mills (Mrs. Wallace)

Mandy brings a unique perspective in front of and behind the lens. A poet, she translated her love of storytelling into screenplays. She has written and produced multiple award winning short films. She originally trained at The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. Her short “Gloss” continues to find success after winning Best Narrative Short at Gasparilla Film Festival. Previous credits include 'The Last O.G.' on TBS, 'Justice on Trial' on Amazon, and 'Darling,' for which she won Best Supporting Actress at Tampa Bay Underground.

Jackie Romankow (Stage Directions)

Jackie Romankow (she/her) is an actor, singer, and voice coach based in New York. Favorite past shows include Netflix's Stranger Things: The Experience (NYC), Regarding the Disappearance of Amy (Playwrights Horizons), and Cooking with Butter (Players Theatre). She regularly performs at cabaret venues such as 54 Below, Chelsea Table + Stage, and the Triad Theatre. Jackie’s new feature film is slated to come to the festival circuit this fall (so keep an eye out!!). In addition to performing, Jackie works as an Associate Speech Coach at New York Speech Coaching.
